Everest Base Camp Trek with Island Peak Climb trek allows you to climb up the most popular Island peak and takes you into the heart of the Khumbu region and Everest Base Camp as well. Island peak, widely known as Imja Tse stands at an elevation of 6,160 m (20,210 ft) the most famous Himalayan peak. The named Island peak as it appears like an island in an icy belt at Imjatse valley. Located on top of the Chhukung glacier between Ama Dablam and Lhotse mountains, it was in 1956 when the summit of Island Peak was first climbed by Swiss team making as a training and preparation for Mount Everest expedition. Since then, hundreds of climbers have successfully climbed this peak as it is technically but not too challenging and doesn’t need any previous climbing experience.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: In Kathmandu preparation for trek and climb.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m - 04 hrs.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.

Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.

Day 06: Trek to Tyangboche 3,867 m - 05hrs.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m - 05hrs.

Day 08: Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m - 05 hrs.

Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m nd to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and back to Gorakshep - 08 hrs.

Day 11: Hike to Kalapatthar 5,545 m and trek to Lobuche or futther.

Day 12: Trek to Kongma La 5,535 m and to Chhukung 4,730 m -07 hrs.

Day 13: Trek to Island Base Camp 5,200 m -04 hours.

Day 14: Trek to Island Peak to High Camp 5,600 m -03 hrs.

Day 15: Climb to Island peak summit 6,189 m and to base camp - 08 hours.

Day 16: Trek to Tengboche - 07 hrs.

Day 17: Trek to Monjo 2,830 m - 06 hrs.

Day 18: Trek to Lukla - 05 hrs.

Day 19: Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.

Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu.

Day 21:  Final international departure.

Day 01:  Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On arrival in Kathmandu, you are warmly greeted by Adventure Guide Team Treks & Expeditions staff at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) our representatives will assist then transfer to respective hotels.

Day 02: In Kathmandu preparation day for expedition.
On this day an opportunity for shopping essential equipments, gears, harness, crampons, ice axe with leash, webbing, cord, trekking poles, sleeping bag, headwear, footwear and other stuffs. In the meantime Adventure Guide Team Treks & Expeditions staff will obtain necessary permits and papers for the climb. There will be a special meeting in the evening regarding pre-trek & climb discussion with all fellow field staffs / guides.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,800 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m- 03 hrs.
Moring a super scenic flight of near 35 minutes bring you at Lukla. Lukla airport is also known as Tenzing –Hillary Airport and Luka is assessable either by air or by trek from the old classic route by Jiri or from Arun Valley, from Lukla start the trek to Phakding for overnight stop.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m -06 hrs.
On this day walk up to the bank of the Dudh Koshi River and cross the suspension bridge. A few hours of trek will take to the entrance gate to visit National Park, Monjo. Walk for few hours to reach Namche. Namche is a prosperous trading town and the capital of the Khumbu Region with many Nepalese officials, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a police check, post and a bank, a bakery and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. You can buy your essential climbing equipments and other stuffs here in Namche if needed, overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 05:  Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion
Namche is the perfect place for the acclimatization. Spending an extra day in Namche helps to acclimatize our body in higher altitude and avoid the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Namche is also a mesmerizing market hub where one can explore its vicinity and make further plans for the trip.

Day 06:  Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m-05 hrs.
Trek along a gradual trail through conifer and rhododendron forests, somewhat exposed trail with the best views of Ama Dablam. The walk further offers striking views of Mt.Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and Kwangde peak. The trail climbs uphill passing through the forests to reach Thyangboche. This area is known as the holy land as the head lama (Rinpoche) of the monastery resides here. This is the place, where climbers take blessing from the high lama in order to have best and safe expedition.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche 4,260m - 05 hrs.
After breakfast following the trail that drops to Debuche and crossing suspension bridge on the Imja Khola. Then a gentle climb to reach Pangboche a Sherpa village with several houses made of stones with an old monastery. The trail leads slowly leaving the tree lines behind through exposed landscapes with fantastic views of Mt. Ama Dbalm at close range then reaching at Dingboche for the overnight stop.

Day 08: Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion.
Another rest day allows you to acclimatize in this high altitude, with time to explore the surrounding area..

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche  4,930 m - 05 hrs.
Leaving Dingboche, follow the trail uphill for an hour then a gradual walk all the way to Thugla ( Dugla) with fantastic views of Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche, Pumori, Ama Dablam and as far to Mt. Makalu towards east and tips of Mt. Cho Oyu  in the west,  the climb up to the terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier, and continues till Lobuche for overnight stop.

Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m and to Everest Base Camp 5, 364 m and return back to Gorakshep. 07hrs.
The trail today is quite challenging but offers mesmerizing views of Mt. Everest the highest point on this planet at 8,848 meters / 29,028 ft.  On reaching at Gorakshep following the moraine and ice path, Gorakshep with 04 lodges the last lodge before Everest Base Camp after break here continue to Everest Base Camp walking along moraine below the Khumbu Icefall to reach Everest Base Camp. After spending some time in base camp, return back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.

Day 11:  Hike to Kalapatthar 5,545 m /18,192 ft and return to Lobuche.
Early morning start climb to Kalapatthar for the stunning view of Mt. Everest and its surroundings peaks. Kalapatthar is the vantage point for views of the entire south face of Mt. Everest and other high mountains, after spending some moments here a gentle descend to the small settlement of Lobuche for the overnight stop, with afternoon free for sidewalks.

Day 12:  Trek and traverse Kongma La 5,535 m / 18,159 ft and to Chukung 4,730 m -7 hrs.
Leaving Lobuche, head towards Imjatse valley at Chukung enjoy the remoteness and perfect wilderness of the area with harsh beautiful nature, on route with beautiful views of Amphu Lapcha, Island peak, and traversing the highest pass of this trip the Kongma La pass at 5, 545 meters after a great moment here descend towards Imjatse valley and to Chukung  for the overnight stop after a hard trek and climb of near 08 hrs.

Day 13: Trek to Island Base Camp 5,200 m -04 hours.
After a good breakfast walk to the southern part climbing steep way along the streamside, the route to the Amphu Lapcha lies just to the southeast. A slightly fractious cross route to the Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines leads to a wide valley of Island peak or Imjatse. Our guide will give details and information regarding the climbing.

Day 14:  Trek and climb to High Camp 5,600 m- 04 hrs.
Pack climbing gear and make a gentle climb to reach high camp, a climb to reach High Camp with a slope that narrows and the path enters a steep rock channel, then ascend a little further to high camp afternoon final preparation for the climbing and overnight in tented camp.

Day 15:  Climb to the summit 6,189 m / 20, 305 ft and return to base camp.
The climb to the summit is a steep climbing which is slightly technical; our guides will fix rope where it is necessary for this strenuous ascent to reach the summit, on  reaching the top with panoramic mindblowing views of the massif mountains that surrounds you, after a great moment descend along the same route, down to the base camp.

Day 16: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 07 hrs.
Leaving Base Camp reaching at Dingboche within Imjatse valley with grand views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse wall, Lhotse, Makalu and Island peak then head towards the famed Thyangboche with its beautiful monastery and striking scenery views, reaching back at lush vegetation and tree lines after being in arid terrain for a week or more, the final leg of this walk leads to a climb for an hour to Thyangboche offering grand views of peaks that surrounds this lovely spot with its monastery.

Day 17:  Trek to Monjo 2,880 m via Namche Bazaar - 06hrs.
After breakfast a short downhill to Imjatse River after the bridge a steep climb for an hour with gradual winding trail all the way to Namche Bazaar, after Namche its all all downhill to the Dudh Kosi River bed and with few short ups to enter the Sagarmatha National park to exit towards Monjo for the overnight stop in this small nice village.

Day 18: Trek to Lukla - 05 hrs.
The last day walk of this great adventure with easy gradual trail through the village of Phakding following the Dudh Kosi, after crossing the bridge at Phakding a nice pleasant trek with few short up and downs to Lukla, on reaching Lukla the last dinner with the trekking staffs and porters.

Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
The flight time to Kathmandu, are schedule for morning normally, sometime the flight time can be delayed due to bad weather, depending upon the flight time make way to the terminal for security check, this scenic flight from Lukla takes about 30 minutes to Kathmandu, a panoramic view of the snow capped peaks can be seen during the flight. Arriving at Kathmandu domestic terminal, our staff will receive and transfer you back to Hotel.

Day 20: In Kathmandu free day at leisure.
A free day in Kathmandu, please inform our staff if you would like to go on another short tour in and around Kathmandu Valley.

Day 21: Transfer to airport for international departure.
Today as per your international flight time, Adventure Guide Team staff will take you to the airport for your final departure from this wonderful country, Nepal.

To secure your proposed destination in your time you should pay 20% of your total payment as deposit as an advanced. Remember if you not able to attend in your tour on time you can postpone for two years. After two years if you leave the trip we won’t refund your deposit money. Can you give me detail information about hotel in which I will stay in Kathmandu?
According to our agreement we will provide you the star hotel or guesthouse, economic hotel and homestay available in Kathmandu. In the hotel normally 2 people can accommodated in each room but if you need special room we can provide you with adding the cast of the room. But during the trekking we can’t provide you special room because of lack of rooms in guesthouse and teahouse.

With whom we can go trekking?
We have well experience guides and porters for trekking special they will help you in your adventure trekking in Nepal. The guide who leads you is well trained and well experience for trekking destination. Moreover, he has knowledge in rescue and other primary health care and first aid box. The difference of our guide is very friendly and knowledgeable about the region that’s why you will get proper information of the trekking and tours spots.

Vouchers
Tour voucher is necessary for trekking and tours but it is optional whether you can buy from your own country of from Nepal too. It is difficult to get domestic ticket easily and simply that’s why we need to conform 1/2 month before. Moreover, in hotel and guest house we make conform to reserve our room and other necessary things. Trekking
The trekking itself is enjoyable and comfortable. Although, we will observe your ability for walking and suggest to walk normally 5-7 hours and 10/12 kms per day. The another major concern is the route determine your ratio of walking. In the easy road and route we will go something fast and in remaining route we walk less than normal walking hours.

Nepal is land-locked country lies between India and Nepal. The altitude of Nepal is starts from 60 meters to 8848 meters, which indicate the weather is not similar in all over the country. Moreover, most of Himalayas are covered by the snow where you cant go easily or you can’t visit without warm and strong clothes.  Comfortable clothes and shoes are inevitable during the trekking. The year can be classified in four major seasons which has different seasonal impact. Spring, summer, autumn and winter are the season from which you can choose your necessary material and thing when you will plan to visit Nepal. The temperature of spring season will be in between 20C to 30C. It means March to May falls in the spring season. Likewise summer season will starts from June and end in August. Likewise, September to November is called autumn season where the temperature will in between 20C to 30C and winter season starts with December and ends with February where the temperature will be in between 10C to 20C.

Can I know about electricity in Nepal?
Nepal is second richest country in the world because of high Himalayas and Snowy Mountain,    although sometime load shedding will suffer us time and again. But hotel and guesthouse managed the entire problem for plugging and other electric goods.

What currencies are accepted in Nepal?
You can pay in USA, EURO, AUD and other currency. You can exchange in money changer office, easily available in Nepal. Banks also provide you to change the money.

Likewise, You can use credit cards in major cities of Nepal like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan etc. You can pay from credit cards in some shopping complex and Restaurants too.

How can I get rid from high altitude problem?
Nepal has its own special characteristics where hundreds of hundred of white snowy mountains are standing. To views those mountains are imaginary and challenging, while trekking in those Himalayas we might suffer the high altitude. When you go for trekking in high hill you should aware from high altitudes and its remedies. In the trekking you will provide all the primary medicine and preventive method. If you will suffer In high altitude our guide will take responsibility as he possible and rescue from there.

Drinking water
Nepal has enough resource in drinking water but it is difficult to get fresh water everywhere, that’s why you can use purified water and boiled water while you will engage in trekking,. You can purchase the water as an alternative option and we need more water while we go for trekking.

Who will provide the laundry facility and where?
You yourself are responsible for laundry service. Kathmandu, Pokhara and other main city have the laundry facility and in trekking you can’t get the service.

What types of clothes are necessary for trekking?
Its depends on your duration of trekking although the season effect the clothing. Light and comfortable clothes and shoes are must. In the winter season we need jackets and trousers.

Our company provides you the sleeping bags and other materials for accommodation.

Visa
Tribhuvan International Airport will provide you the visa of Nepal. You should pay $25 USD for per 15 days and $40 USD per 30 days. Please don’t forget to bring two photos to get visa.

How many people can go together in single trekking?
At least 1 to 15 people can go together in a group. But we will provide you the necessary guides and porters for the trekking.

What type of food is available in trekking?
In Kathmandu and other famous trekking and tour city you can choose various foods which is based on your demand or agreement and otherwise we will get Nepali local foods.

Personal expenditure?
We already contract for your trip money but other expenditure is depending on your choice. You can pay in shopping, extra enjoyment and the things exclude in trekking and tour packages which makes your trip little bit expensive.

Insurance
You must have traveler insurance because of unexpected situation comes while you will go for trekking and tours.  The advantage of travel insurance is to assist you in your medical expense, helicopter rescue, air ambulance, injury and death during your trekking and tours that’s why we suggest you for traveler insurance.
