Mount Chomolhari (also spelt as Jhomolhari 7, 316 meters above sea level) means the Goddess of Mountain that reigns in glory and its five sister peaks are the sources of Paro Chu (River), that nourishes the lush rice fields, apple and peach orchards of beautiful Paro Valley. The sacred mountain is a great object of respect and veneration to Bhutanese people and has one of the most popular trekking routes in the eastern Himalayas Jumolhari Base Camp Trek is one of them. The trail for jumolhari base camp begins at the Drugyel Dzong and follows the ancient caravan route, heading towards the base camp of Mount Chomolhari , passing through scattered hamlets and farmland, into deep and richly forested valleys, which leads to a high alpine pastureland where yak herders graze their animals. The jumolhari trekking offers a taste of great variety of Bhutanese landscape. Bhutan is the country having a beautiful culture. You can check our Bhutan cultural tourwhich helps travellers to explore the cultural view of the beautiful country Bhutan.
For this (Jumolhari Base Camp Trek) trek You will drive 12km north of Paro valley from your inn to the noteworthy Drugyal Dzong ruins at 2,580m, from were your journey for Jumolhari Base Camp Trek begins. Your trekking team will sit tight here for you. After a short gathering, you will walk downhill on a wide trail following the Pachhu (waterway), which at that point climbs delicately crossing through very much kept up rice patios and fields of millet. Before long the valley broadens and the course enters a zone of apple plantations, conventional farmhouses and the modest settlements of Mitshi Zampa and Sangatan. You achieve the armed force post of Gunitsawa at 2,810 in the wake of strolling for some time through blue pine timberland. Here your trekking license will be checked and stamped. This is the last stop before Tibet and outskirt near it. You will then cross Pachu River on a wooden scaffold and afterward move to Sharna Zampa at 2,870m. Just past Shana Zampa, there are a few knolls encompassed by trees where you will camp for today around evening time.
